Welcome to the Odegaard Writing & Research Center!
To make a 45-minute appointment for writing tutoring, please:
- register with us online
- read our policies
- Please be sure to read the section titled "Grammar and Proofreading in Tutoring Sessions"
- log on to our online scheduler
- register for an appointment
- to register for an online appointment, click "Schedules ▼" at the top left of the page and select "Winter Online Schedule '26"
- NOTE: appointments are scheduled on the hour and last for a maximum of 45 minutes
- If your appointment is in-person, bring your Husky Card to access Odegaard Undergraduate Library (room 121)
- If your appointment is online, please join the session 5 minutes before the start of your appointment to make sure that all technology is working properly. If your tutor does not appear by five minutes after the start time of your appointment, please email the OWRC at owrc@uw.edu
If we are fully booked for the day or time you want, you can put your name on the waitlist for a particular day and time range. On our scheduler, click the small "Waiting List" text on the bottom right of the day you want and fill out the waitlist form. If an appointment becomes available, you'll receive an email or text message. You must then log on to the scheduler and grab that appointment — everyone on the waitlist receives the same message!
To cancel an appointment you've made, log on to the scheduler, click your appointment slot, scroll to the bottom of the window, and click "Cancel."
